How do I find the exact dimensions of my car?

You can start with this great tool which can display the length, width, height, and boot capacity of your vehicle:

Next, you'll need to calculate your car's CBM (cubic meters), the metric unit of volume with the symbol m³. You'll need this value to know how much space your consignment will take. Here's a free tool to help you calculate just that:

If you want to calculate your CBM manually, it's pretty simple. The straightforward formula is:

Length (in meters) X Width (in meters) X Height (in meters) = Cubic Meters (m3)

If you want to convert 1 m³ to imperial units, here's the conversion factor:

1 CBM = 1 m³ = 35.3147 ft3

Once you calculate your CBM, you'll be able to know a more accurate shipping price.

What are some car shipping terms I need to know? (Container Vs. RoRo)

When you want to transport your car, you'll have to make a crucial decision between Container Shipping or RoRo, the two most widely used shipping methods for vehicles. Each type has its pros and cons, and by understanding the key differences between them, you can make the most informed choice:

RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off): This method will have your car driven into a cargo ship. These large, specialized vessels are designed to carry thousands of vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks, semi-trailer trucks, etc. Since the vehicle will be maneuvered into place by driving onto the ship and then off of it, the car must be in running condition.

RoRo is typically less expensive than containerized shipping and may have more reliable delivery dates than container shipping. Still, it may be more exposed to the risk of damage since the car may be shipped next to many other vehicles. It may also be inaccessible to certain locations and global routes.

Container Shipping: This method will store your car in a separate shipping container, usually alongside mixed consignments and goods. The vehicle does not have to be running and is generally more secure than RoRo (since your car would have its own dedicated container). It can pretty much deliver anywhere in the world but is more expensive than RoR and may not have reliable delivery dates. Container shipping also allows additional items to be placed in your container, such as tires.

Your choice will boil down to personal preference and budgetary constraints.

How long would it take?

Depending on the country you're shipping to, your dedicated shipping agent will be able to provide an approximate ETA or estimated time of arrival. Shipping times vary based on several factors such as the selected mode of shipping, your country's location and distance, paperwork processing including import requirements, and any external factors such as weather or logistic challenges.

How much will it cost?

Our flat fee is 349 USD for the services mentioned above. However, the shipping price will vary based on the shipping method (Container Shipping or RoRo), port location, and your car's overall dimensions.
