Apple Unveils iPhone 14 and iPhone Pro/Pro Max

Yalla Deals Tech: Apple recently unveiled its much-awaited iPhone 14 and iPhone Pro/Pro Max models during its "Far Out" event in Cupertino. What do we think about the design? We like it! The notch now looks like a small pill, but what Apple calls "Dynamic Island" stands out, which is when alerts and notifications move around and morph into the notch. We think it looks cool and clever to utilize this pill-shaped notch, especially when it seems outdated compared to other phones, such as the Galaxy S22 Ultra, with just a tiny camera cutout. However, Apple has an excellent reason to make it look that big still; Face ID is much more secure by including a depth sensor (which Samsung doesn't have).

A list of features for the Pro and Pro Max models includes:

- Safety features designed to save lives (Emergency Satellite SOS + Car Crash Detection)

- A much-awaited 48MP camera sensor upgrade (for the main camera only, not the ultra-wide one).

- A super-fast A 16 Bionic chip featuring 16 billion transistors on a 4-nanometer process

- Super Retina XDR display, hitting 1600 nits of brightness. 

Always-On display

- Cinematic mode now shoots in 4K HDR at 24 fps

- A16 Bionic is 40% faster at a third of the power consumption than the competition. 

Frankly, we're disappointed that Cinematic Mode shoots only at 30 FPS. 

Only videographers would understand. 

The iPhone 14 Pro's camera finally got a 48-megapixel camera featuring a quad-pixel sensor that takes groups of four pixels and makes them act as one large pixel for better light capture. 

The iPhone 14 Pro starts from AED 4,299, while the Pro Max version starts from AED 4,699. Pre-order starts at 4:00 p.m. local time on 09/09.
